 I think you are spot on about the analogy of agile and creative leadership with special forces.
The process of building the BEST team though starts even before hiring - by defining a clear vision, a strong team ethos and an unwavering set of values. Without this, the best candidates will never even apply. The hiring/selection process for special forces is notoriously tough, testing skills and experience, but also attitude, resourcefulness, tenacity and grit. What I really love is the idea of 'never lowering the bar' for entry. Businesses could learn a lot from this.
